Ovarian cancer is a serious and under-recognized threat to women's health, with morbidity rates alarmingly more compared to all other gynecologic cancers combined. With the early stage detection being difficult, diagnosis almost always happens at an advanced stage, leading to poor survival rates. The Animated Atlas of Ovarian Cancer is an attempt to highlight the various features, mechanisms and advanced approaches in treatment modalities. Featuring spectacular and realistic animations, covering anatomy and physiology, mechanisms underlying abnormal and uncontrolled cell growth, cell types and their histological features, pathology, genes and other contributing factors, screening and diagnostic procedures, therapeutic interventions covering the latest of chemo, hormone, radiation, immune, and gene therapies, and also the surgical intervention.
